Producer, President of Independent Producers’ Association of Lithuania (Lithuania)
Rasa Miskinyte started the producer's career in 2001 when she began working at Lithuanian Radio and Television Public Broadcaster (LRT), Head of Film Production Department, producing mainly documentaries (national and international co-productions) and working with independent directors and producers. Rasa brought most of the foreign co-productions to Lithuania, one of which was with Japan’s public broadcaster, NHK. In 2001 she established an independent film production company Era Film, whose managing director she has been since 2006.
In 2001 Rasa Miskinyte graduated from the European Film College, Ebeltoft, Denmark. She attained a master’s degree in audiovisual arts from the Theatre and Cinema Department at Lithuanian Music Academy. Rasa Miškinytė is an initiative and active participant of film industry in Lithuania and abroad. She is a manager of Lithuanian Films stands at Marché du Film, Cannes 2011, and Sunny Side of the Docs, 2011.
At the moment Rasa Miskinyte is a member of European Documentary Network— EDN and a member of Lithuanian Film Academy— LiKA. She has been a member of Film Council at Lithuanian Ministry of Culture for two years (2003-2004). The Bug Trainer – a film produced by Rasa – won many Silver Cranes (Lithuanian Cinema Awards). Rasa Miskinyte herself received a Silver Crane for her professionalism.
