Margherita is a film director caught up in a film shoot, in which the lead role is played by a famous – and unbearable – American actor of Italian descent. The concerns she feels as a committed artist combine with private anxieties: her mother is in hospital, her daughter is in the throes of adolescence. As for her brother, he’s as irreproachable as ever. Will Margherita manage to feel she measures up, in terms of her work and her family?
